2010 Camaro SEMA Project – Phase 2 Completed!

2010 Camaro Borla Header Compared to Factory Manifold
Now that the Pedder’s Extreme Xa coilover system has been put in place and proven itself to be a very worthwhile addition to any 2010 Camaro, it is now time to start working on making some power. Phase 2 of this project is to install a set of Borla Long Tube headers.
The installation of Borla LT headers is amazingly simple. I stood there and watched the Vector Motorsports technician remove my factory manifolds and install the Borla headers in about 35 minutes with me in the way taking photos. They slid right in, fitment was perfect. But what everyone wants to know is how much power they make. Here’s the dyno data:
Gains
RPM – TQ – HP
3500 – 38 – 25
4000 – 45 – 34
4500 – 48 – 40
5000 – 41 – 41
5500 – 42 – 42
6000 – 25 – 33
6200 – 44 – 53

This power increase was made using a test intake and a basic tune through the factory exhaust on a Mustang dyno that is set up conservatively.
Phase 3 will be posted soon! Until then, discuss this topic in the CamaroZ28.Com forum or post your comments below.
