What I Based My 2010 Camaro Colors On
Okay, at the time of this writing, I haven’t listed out the details of my 2010 Camaro SS, but here’s a quick back story.
When I was in one of the Camaro Focus Group meetings, I made a clear suggestion to offer a dark gray color, similar to the 3rd gen Trans Am GTA dark gray color. I thought it would be good for the car and something that I personally wanted on my own. Interestingly enough, according to a poll on CamaroZ28.Com, it is the 2nd most popular color. Now, I don’t know if my suggestion made a difference, but I do remember that I was rather vocal about that color and everyone on the Chevrolet side of the tables nodded and put their pencils to their notepads.
So now that Cyber Gray Metallic is available (albeit delayed), naturally that is what I will be getting. It was a no-brainer for me.
But what about the interior?
That was not as easy. I liked the Inferno Orange interior but I wasn’t sure if it was my style. Then one day I was wearing a shirt that helped me make the decision.
Made In Detroit is a cool local clothing line here in the Detroit area. I have a couple of their shirts to show my Detroit pride, if you understand that sort of thing. One day, I was wearing one of mine that was once black but had faded to a dark gray over the years. The colors of the silk screening was black, white and a nice deep orange with a hint of red, similar to the colors in this t-shirt here. I happened to be in front of a mirror and then I noticed the color combination was close to Cyber Gray/Inferno Orange interior. It looked great and my decision was made.

Cyber-grey metallic will look spectacular. I’m a bit biased, as I’ve had nearly that same color on my F-body since ’84. I wouldn’t want it any other way, with possible exception to yellow.. However Cyber-grey metallic offers something else no one seems to mention: Stealth. Cyber-grey metallic cars are hard to spot on the highway. They blend in, especialy when the police are looking for tax payers, if you know what I mean.
Hey jason congrats on your new arrival and as it turns out to be my birthday.
