Welcome to Spring, 2011! I am glad to be posting here again.  I have some cool things lined up for this year, so be sure to subscribe for updates in the upper right hand corner.

Now that the snow is pretty much gone and the days are getting warmer, I am getting excited to bring the Camaro out of storage soon and get it ready for the upcoming shows.  I have been thinking of the upcoming year and in addition to some new mods, I want to make sure I hit more car shows with it than I did last year. I think anyone with a nice car needs to take it to shows, period. It gives you a good chance to detail your car thoroughly, spend a nice day away from work, make some new friends, and it helps you to continue to take pride in your ride. Plus, you might walk away with a trophy or door prize.

So let’s kick off 2011 with my 2011 car show schedule!

I hope no one minds my tangent on this one. I have been pretty busy with a lot of cool things for the summer in between working hard and trying to have fun and haven’t been able to update the blog about the car in a while. I hope to find the time to write about my 1st place win at Camaro Superfest soon, along with a very cool addition to the photo gallery from that show.

But for now, here’s something I wanted to share with my loyal readers and you will thank me for this one.

Recently, someone posted on CamaroZ28.Com how to save 20% or more on Advance Auto Parts’ web site by using coupon codes. I realized that I know how to save even more from there, or AutoZone or just about any other major online retailer for car parts or nearly anything else. I am talking about cashback programs, and I have been using them for a long time and I have probably saved $3,000 over the past few years.  I mentioned in that thread that I figured out a way to save even more and offered the info to whoever PM’d me.  I got dozens of PMs, so I thought it would be easier to make this entry.

So, here’s the deal.

I used to have a nice little web site for my 1996 Camaro SS.  You can see it here.  It was pretty cool for my very first web site.

Then I picked up a 2002 Camaro SS, so naturally I had to make a new site for it.  It looked like this.  Then I revamped it and it became the PhantomSS.Com that most people think of.  You can still view it here as I left it when I sold my 2002 Camaro SS.

Here we are once again, a new Camaro and a new PhantomSS.Com.  It is almost becoming a tradition.

This site will be a running (b)log of my 2010 Camaro SS project.  There’s lots of stuff happening to it, so you may want to consider subscribing to my RSS feed or adding your e-mail to my mailing list (upper right corner).  Some cool stuff is going to happen and you don’t want to miss it.
