Why I went with Tom Henry Chevrolet for my 2010 Camaro

A lot of you have asked why I went with Tom Henry Chevrolet in Bakerstown, PA instead of a dealership local to me here in the Detroit area. There’s a few answers to this:
- Tom is a friend of mine. When Tom Henry Racing was making killer 4th gen Camaros, he supported CamaroZ28.Com as an advertiser. We got to know him well in the process. He is a great guy, a friend to the Camaro community, runs an honest dealership and can be trusted as a dealer.
- He is charging MSRP on 2010 Camaros. Not every dealership can say that.
- Here is the neat part, I think. According to the 2010 Camaro manual, break-in is the first 500 miles without leaning on the pedal too hard, varying speeds, etc. Tom’s dealership is approximately 300 miles from my home. A friend of mine who I owe a ride in my new Camaro is approximately 100 miles from there. From Tom’s dealership to my house, and then to my friend’s house and back is (you guessed it) 500 miles. A cool way to break the car in, don’t you think?
There’s many other great dealerships out there and right here in the Detroit area, but the combination turned a car buying experience that I will never forget into something even more fun and memorable.
As crazy as it sounds, I have been unable to make the trip to take delivery of my car due to work and scheduling conflicts. This is the toughest wait of my life but in the meantime, I know my car is in good hands with Tom Henry. I’ll post pictures and videos from the trip and experience. It shouldn’t be long now…stay tuned….

…the same reason I purchased my ’02 through Tom Henry ; ), …and it’s an eight hour plus drive for me. It’s just nice to know you have a dealership behind you whenever you need them. Even when it comes down to the ‘stupid stuff’ us enthusiasts look for (like ANY paper, …sheet, plastic, …whatever that came in the car), …Tom was more than happy to help out.
I’m sure the wait is tough, …but like you said, …you know for sure it’s in good hands, …and you don’t have to worry about it.
